[Unscheduled Outage] Intermittent NetID and Banner access at 10 AM

[Unscheduled Outage] Intermittent NetID and Banner access at 10 AM. On October 19th, Colorado State University Central IT experienced network disruptions affecting NetID, Banner, and Global Protect. The outage, reportedly caused by a network failure on the Ft. Collins campus, momentarily restricted system access for users but was resolved by 10:30. Any ongoing access issues should be reported to the IT Helpdesk.

[Upcoming Scheduled Change] 365 File Sharing/Storage

We would like to inform you of an upcoming change to the document sharing settings in Microsoft 365.

Based on recent recommendations to enhance our security profile, the Division of IT (DoIT) is changing the default file sharing setting within Microsoft 365 storage applications on August 1, 2023. This should have minimal impact on your day-to-day work and allows for a more secure file sharing environment.

Internet access on campus
Remote access to computers (LogMeIn and VDI)
NetID self-service (Activations and Password resets)
Filebound access
uAchieve

DATE/TIME: 05-22-2023 at 6:30pm

DURATION: Until Completed est. 2hrs.

REASON: Replacement the of Main Campuses firewalls.

[Unscheduled Maintenance] AIS on 5/8/2023 at 8:00 AM

The T: is not accessible, causing an AIS system outage for scheduled maintenance on May 8, 2023 starting at 8:00 AM.

IMPACT: The outage is affecting AIS access for all users.

DATE/TIME: 05/08/2023 at 8:00 AM.

DURATION: Until Completed.

REASON: A network drive has become inaccessible. Because it cannot be opened the program AIS cannot run. Thus no one can open AIS on any of their computers and it may appear as though it has been uninstalled.
