IMPACT: Some systems were unavailable.
REASON: A hardware failure and network issues
Please be advised that the power to the GCB building has been lost.
Facilities is investigating the issue.
UNSCHEDULED OUTAGE: GCB Power Outage
DATE/TIME: 10-03-2022 at 8:45am
IMPACT: All network access in the GCB is down.
Unscheduled Outage: Internet and off campus resources slowness
DURATION: On going
IMPACT: Internet slowness, delays in email, uAchieve audits, and all off campus resources.
REASON: The primary internet was damage north of Colorado Springs.
Currently we are sharing the backup connection with UCCS. Normally operations would not be affected as this has happened in the past. UCCS is seeing slowness as well.
Currently the Front Range Giga Pop (FRGP) is investigating the cause of the slowness with its subcontractors.
As for the Primary internet connection, repairs are underway.
Please be advised that the power to the LARC will be shut down Saturday, September 10th starting at 8:00 am.
We have been informed that this outage is to connect power to the new Verizon tower on campus.
ITS asks you to please shut down your computers and printers in the LARC when you leave on Friday 9-9-2022.

DATE/TIME: 09-10-2022 at 8:00am
DURATION: Est: 6 hrs.
IMPACT: All network access in the LARC.
REASON: Installation of the power connection for the new Verizon tower.
Students, Advisors & Faculty members cannot run any new programs as what-if audits that started in the 22-23. If the student already declared one of these new majors it will run naturally as that uses a different logic to produce.
